Was a bit dubious, having a tattoo on my head, but I looked at photos of the work done, it was amazing, met the Artist at Scalp sense was warmly greeted and immediately felt at ease, i didnt even nitice thar the artist himself had it done.
Ive had tattoos on my body before ,so wad concerned about pain, but it wad painless totally different tat gun.
If it wasnt for the good banter during the session or the TV set up to watch while your being done I could of easily fell asleep.
It was done over a few sessions so to match the pigment colour of your hair.
I was simply amazed, my head had always been shaven as i wad going bald with dignity, and the end result left me flabbergasted, you would never be able to tell, it simply looks like a shaven head, i have a hair line and im more than happy.

I am absolutely over the moon with my SMP sessions, it looks so natural you would never know it was a tattoo. I couldn’t be happier.
I had my concerns due to having fairer hair but Matt C put my mind at ease and answered all the questions I had on it. He is a really nice genuine bloke.
The set up in the studio is great, you can watch Netflix on the TV while Matt gets to work.
If you are unsure/contemplating having SMP session please don’t hesitate I can not recommend it enough. I just wished I done I years ago.

The practitioners are really helpful from the first consultation to the end of treatment and after the very first session I felt a boost in my confidence. I even got compliments from others on my nice haircut!

What does SMP stand for?
SMP is the abbreviation of the term Scalp Micropigmentation. If you see people refer to SMP, just know that this is just an easier way to say Scalp Micropigmentation.
Is Scalp Micropigmentation a hair tattoo?
Yes, a cosmetic procedure to cure hair loss or the thinning of hair is scalp micropigmentation which is also occasionally referred to as a hair tattoo. A provider applies little dots of pigment (colour) to the scalp using thin, microscopic needles. These specks create the impression that the hair is thicker. Permanent inks for scalp micropigmentation are of cosmetic-grade quality.

Of course, SMP is suitable no matter the hair or skin colour.
Does the treatment hurt?
The dotting method used during the scalp micropigmentation procedure is not painful. Your individual pain threshold has a significant impact on how much pain you will feel. Psychological, environmental, and emotional factors may have an impact on how you perceive pain and or discomfort – but most people experience little pain, if any.
Does Scalp Micropigmentation look real?
Scalp micropigmentation is one of the best and most effective ways to get a ‘real’ look on your scalp. Scalp Sense has a variety of different case studies and before & after photos which are featured on the website.
How long does SMP treatment take?
Regular scalp micropigmentation treatments could take anywhere between 2 and 5 hours to complete, but total time depends on the person.
Is SMP different to a normal tattoo?
SMP uses a certain kind of machinery and ink. SMP pigment was specifically developed to not discolour like traditional tattoo ink. Additionally, unlike traditional tattoos, scalp micropigmentation doesn’t penetrate the skin as deeply, the SMP pigment reacts differently within the skin as opposed to a ‘normal’ tattoo.
Can I pick my own hairline style?
The best advice is to start with where your hairline was before it started to recede and or disappear. To place your emerging hairline properly, it helps to refer to prior pictures. If you would like a specific style please verify this with your specialist. We can create the perfect hairline or create a style that imitates real hair. All of which we will discuss with you during your consultation.
